Weblog numbers

Technorati reports the emergence of 15,000 new weblogs per day as of June 4.

But Perseus reports that 66 percent of 3,634 surveyed weblogs had not been updated in two months at the time of the Perseus study.

They have a very unscientific sampling method. Our numbers are from emperically looking at all 3 million blogs tracked.

Dave:

Have you gathered much data about Weblog abandonment? It would be great to see how many of those 3+ million have lasted more than two months without updates.
